Bellydance Fitness for Beginners is possibly the most fun and low-impact method of fitness out there. Veena and Neena, the instructors, take basic bellydance moves and turn them into a fitness workout routine. Tone and strengthen your muscles all over your body, burn fat, and get a cardio workout gracefully and gently.
This is a four video (VHS) set:
• Basic Moves--breaks down bellydancing moves into body isolations so you can learn them individually. Lot of upper and lower body work with your head, arms, shoulders, ribcage, and hips.
• Fat Burning--bellydancing-inspired cardio workout using different rhythms and tempos to get your heart pumping. Lots of leg and foot work with hips in the cool down.
• Arms & Abs--tone arms and abs through smooth, flowing movements. The arm moves look dramatic and fluid, sometimes snakelike, while you're working your abs with bellydancing moves.
• Hips, Buns, & Thighs--traditional leg lifts and lunges lead into bellydance-inspired moves with the buttocks and the hips. Then have fun with "hip drops" and "hip lifts."
Important: This is actually what it says it is, a fitness video. While it uses some traditional bellydance moves it does not, per se, teach you how to bellydance. Enjoy it for what it is, a sexy way for beginners to tone and strengthen and get a cardio and fat burning workout.
