DIY Silk Playscarf

$4.50

Dye-It-Yourself: Get two or three packs of Kool-Aid® and dye your own silk scarves! I'm not kidding. You may, of course, use more traditional dyeing methods as well.

36" x 36" square, these silk scarves are the perfect size for playscarves for children. I'm selling them as "blanks", or undyed, so that you can dye them at home.

You can easily dye it either:

a) in a dish in the microwave or in a pot on the stove--you'll get an uneven mottled or crinkled pattern that way, which can be cool.

b) in your washing machine (use hot water option)--this will give you an evenly dyed scarf.

Lightweight, breezy, opaque, you can paint, dye, batik, marble, stamp, or screen print these squares of silk to your heart's content.

One 36" x 36" 100% silk scarf.

For instructions on Kool-Aid® dyeing click "here". Just mentally substitute "silk scarf" for "wool yarn" in the directions.
