Bureaucratic Wrangling Begins!

Well, since we're dealing with a goverment agency, albeit a state gov't agency, I'm not at all surprised to find that we've had two bureaucratic blunders (hereafter referred to as BB) right off the top.

Turned our paperwork in to the (adorable) adoption worker last week. Reference letters went out right away, thus my references tell me my name was misspelled rather spectacularly. So, phone call on Monday to make sure I'm in the system right. BB #1.

We got our criminal history check forms returned in the mail because they said we need fingerprints. We don't. So, phone call on Monday. BB #2.

Like I said, not at all surprised, these things happen. When I changed my name when I married, the social security agency misspelled my name. Can't count how many times that's happened, actually.

And onwards!
